The Conext CNB 950 replacement battery backup also has the AVR Automatic Voltage Regulation. The AVR provides longer runtime and better battery life. This battery backup has 7 surge protector outlets that protect against spikes and surges in electricity. The surge protection will also help protect from lightning strikes. The CNB 950 has 4 battery powered outlets. These outlets supply back-up power to 4 outlets. Critical running machines should be plugged into the battery outlets to ensure they continue to operate in the event of a power failure. There is room for 2 transformer blocks that can be used for external drives or speakers...even printers. This extra room is ideal as not to block other outlets. In addition, there is built in protection for telephone or fax lines. These lines are protected from surges or spikes in electricity from normal effects or lightning.

The Conext Battery has a USB Data Link to be used as a shutdown manager. Working in conjunction with the building wiring fault indicator which determines if something is wrong with the building or outlet wiring and will notify an electrician. Other fault protection measures include a circuit breaker with push button reset, an overload alarm which sounds when you have too much connected to the conext battery. When power is lost, a battery alarm will sound and beep every 30 seconds alerting you that you are running on backup power. When the battery backup power is low, your conext backup will sound an alarm to notify you. This will allow you to save your files and shut down your machines.
